3 weeks to go

21 days today until we head off on our trip, first stop Istanbul!

We are starting to get excited as we get closer to the date of departure. My Mum and Dad have already departed on their river boat cruise along the Danube and I can't help but feed off their excitement.

Pete and I are heading into town tomorrow for a bit of shopping, nothing new their, we seem to both have a shopping addiction. Pete needs to get some new jeans and a couple of Tshirts, I'm hoping to get some sandals for walking, I don't think the ones I have will be up for walking the cobblestone streets.

It's been a good week this week, the weather is starting to get cool and there has been a bit of rain. Fitness squad in the rain was fun the other day, I need to keep it up as the tapas will well and truly blow the waistline whilst we are away.

We have been keeping an eye on the weather in Europe and it appears to be getting quite warm, I'm sure by the time we get there it will be just gorgeous.

Until then, it is back to the countdown, packing and final preparations. I just can't wait :-)

One month to go.......

The count down is continuing and it is getting closer with today being one month until we go away.

We have booked all of our train tickets now except for the ones that we will need to buy at the station and our flight details have been confirmed following a call from Singapore Airlines advising all our new flight times, what fabulous service, just love Singapore Airlines!

We had another weekend of shopping last weekend and managed to almost finalise everything we need to buy. Typically I am stressing over what shoes to take, always a difficult task for me :-) and for Pete it is jackets, but he did manage to find a good jacket on the weekend.

This week I felt a little like I was coming down with a cold so have been on the immune tablets and echinacea, already feeling better.

Mac the cat appears to know we are going away and is off his food, he does this every time we go away, drives me batty as I madly try to find another type of food he likes!

My Mum and Dad head off this weekend on their first trip to Europe, it is very exciting for them and I can't wait to hear how they go, I'm sure they will love it!

Anyway, not much else to report at this time, just counting down the days and getting more excited by the minute :-)

Another day of travel planning.

Today I have booked our train tickets from Seville - Granada and from Granada to Madrid.  Missed out again on special fares, but it is still best to book in advance because at the station the tickets are even more expensive.

Only 3 more tickets to purchase and everything will be organised. Only 47 days to go until we fly out.
